Creation Myth
In the beginning
Before time
Beyond space
There was Magic
Deep within Magic lay
Darkness, waiting
Unto Darkness
From Magic arose Thought
And Thought begot Vibration
Vibration upon Vibration upon Vibration
And Vibration was The Word
And The Word was Light
Now Darkness knew The Word
And Light embraced the Darkness
And Darkness absorbed the Light
Now The Word was Eros
And now The Word was Thanatos
And The Word was balance
And The Word was Tao
From the depths of Darkness arose
Desire
From the radiance of Light came
Will
And from Desire came forth:
A groan of longing
A moan of dying
An echo of Eternity
Thus, the Void gave voice to Magic.
Then, from Will there pulsed:
A heartbeat of intention
A cadence of construction
A rhythm of Infinity
Thus, The Word gave Dance to Magic
And from the voice of Magic
There came Song
From The Word arose a Chorus
Hence Chorus begot Harmony
Songs of Sacred Interval
And Harmony danced in Magic
Thus, from Magic was Music born
And from Harmony we saw Order
And Order begot Numbers
Then Numbers formed The Laws
So…
From The Laws we have Relation
And from Relation we have:
‘ The Pairing of the Opposites’
And from this pairing came
Spirit and Matter
And from Spirit in Matter
We have Creation
Then, From Creation came Beauty
And Magic walked in Beauty
But, from Creation was also born
The Illusion
And from Illusion we have Death
And, yet, from Death came Ecstasy
And through Ecstasy we gained
Truth, Knowledge and Bliss
And from Truth, Knowledge and Bliss
We attained Radiance
So, again, from radiance comes Will
And unto will comes Desire
And from Desire urging Will we have Rebirth
Thus, from Death we have Rebirth
And from Rebirth we know Joy
And from Joy, Sorrow
Yet from Sorrow we gain Awakening
And from Awakening comes The Buddha
And from The Buddha comes ‘Stillness in Motion’
And from ‘Stillness in Motion’ comes:
Peace unto the world. So Mote It Be 3 x 3 x 3
